Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Voltra (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Voltra mobile app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”). We built Voltra to keep your data on your device by default. We do not sell your data, run advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you grant access, Voltra reads selected metrics from Apple Health to personalize your training and populate your dashboard, and writes back body weight, water intake, and completed cardio workouts. Health data is processed on your device. We never use Health data for advertising or share it with third parties, and we only read the categories you approve. You can change or revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or Settings → Apps → Voltra.

4. AI features & how photos are processed

When you use AI meal/photo scanning or AI coaching, the relevant content (e.g., a meal photo, or your prompt and the on-device context needed to answer it) is sent over an encrypted connection to our secure proxy, which forwards it to Anthropic (the “Claude” API) for processing. The proxy injects our API credentials server-side so no keys ship inside the App. We do not store your photos or prompts on our servers; the proxy keeps only metadata-only request logs (route, status, latency, timestamp — never your content) for a few days to operate the service. AI output may be inaccurate — see our Terms.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not allow these providers to use your content to advertise to you.

6. How we use information

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or automated decisions with legal effects.

7. Storage, security & retention

Your content is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account governed by Apple. All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Upstream API keys never ship in the App; they live only on our server-side proxy. We retain your in-app data until you delete it or remove the App; transient AI requests are not retained as content, and operational proxy logs (metadata only) are kept briefly and then rotated.

Voltra is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will help remove the data.

10. International users

Voltra is offered in the Gulf region and internationally. Where your AI or search requests are processed, data may be handled on servers outside your country under appropriate safeguards and the providers’ policies listed in §5.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the App.
